One of my favorite pictures of my new favorite tree. Keep scrolling to see how I put this masterpiece together...
I started with the gifts. Using brown package paper (which was commonly used in general stores during the time) I wrapped empty boxes. I searched the stores for two weeks looking for ribbon in patterns similar to those that I've seen in their clothing. Twine would have been another good choice.
One final look at the finished product. Merry Christmas from the Harpers....and the Heaths :)

Christmas in the 1860s

After much study, I took on the project of recreating a Christmas tree. While I cut a few corners by using a fake tree and decorations, I did pay very close attention to the details. This is how I did it...
